Rebuilding The Heart
Our new site above the Guadalupe is taking shape, day by day. Visit us here for regular updates about what we're doing.
We’ll share the progress as Heart O’ the Hills’ new campus comes to life — from cabins and gathering spaces to the dining hall and activity areas. You’ll also find information about property tours, special events, and ways to stay connected along the journey. Be sure to check back often as we add photos and updates showing how Heart’s next chapter is taking shape.
A Season of Progress and Purpose
This has been a season of thoughtful planning and steady progress. From the earliest days of design to what you see coming together now, every step has been guided by a commitment to safety, intention, and the traditions that make Heart what it is. While the setting is new, the spirit of camp remains unchanged—and we’re excited to watch it all come to life.
This chapter for Heart has been anything but ordinary. Through it all, we’ve remained committed to our traditions while thoughtfully building the next season of camp.
Construction Updates
-
A Big Day at Heart. Today was a milestone on the hill. Lumber arrived for our cabins - John was very happy! And vertical construction begins next week! Even more exciting—once framing starts, each cabin will go up in just two days.
We’re also making strong progress across the site: the lower row of cabin slabs is complete, dining hall slab and plumbing prep are moving forward, and our sports field is beginning to take shape.
It’s incredible to watch Heart’s new home come together so quickly. Stay tuned—next week is going to be something special.

Cabin slabs are poured with core plumbing work completed. Art’s & Crafts, Orenda, Trading Posts, and our two new gyms have build sites formed. Dining Hall slab prep is well underway.

Here are some of the spaces being worked on right now:
Our new dining hall will take in beautiful views from its large, covered porch. The 20 cabins being built are in two horseshoe shaped rows near the center of camp. The Orenda will provide easy access for campers with medications, located just across the walkway from the dining hall.
Two multi-purpose covered gym spaces will provide shaded areas for pickleball, tennis, basketball, and other active classes. The extensive crafts and arts activity spaces give space for a variety of classes. Our swimming pool will allow for lane swimming opportunities in addition to the swimming options on our beautiful riverfront.
Waterfront improvements will also give campers room to canoe and participate in other classes. With about 50,000 sqft of concrete slabs being poured for our new structures, this is just some of what's being constructed for summer 2026!
